3 Easy Holiday Parent Gifts for Kids to Make

As a kindergarten teacher making holiday gifts for our students to give doesn't have to break the bank.  I've found ways to make cute and precious memorable gifts that any primary student can make.
Wood slice snowman ornament- Classroom gifts to make. Easy low budget kid crafts for the classroom. Great for kindergarten classroom. looks great on the Christmas tree.

If you are looking for something new this year, then this is it.  We made these last year and they were a parent favorite. So,  we are making them again.  I've already ordered all of my supplies from Amazon.

How to Make

  1. Paint the wood slice with white paint, then let dry.
  2. Using a black sharpie marker draw eyes and mouth.
  3. Use an orange Sharpie marker to draw the nose.
  4. Next, use a foam brush to paint over the wood slice with clear glitter paint.
  5. Lastly, add the string for hanging and have students write their name and year on the backside.

I'll drop all the links below- just know these are my affiliate links- (when you click on these or buy from the link I make a very small commission, which I use to buy supplies for my classroom)

Another easy craft to make is Glitter Snowflakes.  Every school has popsicle sticks.  All you need is 3 sticks per student.  Glue together in the center, hot glue works great.  Then have kids paint the sticks with white school glue and decorate with glitter or gems.

This one is another easy and fun one.  Just ask the office for some tongue depressors.  (the larger version of popsicle sticks)  Cut out some hats and scarfs from felt.  You can buy felt squares from your local craft store for under a dollar.  If you are like me, you probably have a box of buttons sitting around, or you can find those as well at a craft store.

It's never too early to start prepping and planning for those holiday gifts.  I'd love to hear what you make, drop me a comment.  Let me know if you plan on making one of these.
