Valentines Centers for February

We just finished 100th Day and now we are getting ready for Valentines Day.  This month is jammed pack with so many holiday-festive things. Not to mention we have two--3 day weekends.  My kids are loving my February Centers.

We just started working on addition. The roll, add and color was a big hit.  They even asked to play it again during rainy day recess.

We are also working on more and less, and learning how to use the greater than and less than symbols.

For my littles who still need more one-to-one correspondence, I'm using my Valentines ten frames
Valentines 10 frames
We are also working on measurement.  Please ignore the white streaks, I was running low on ink and didn't want to reprint.

Next week we will also be learning a little about the Olympics and hopefully be able to watch some of the winter games.

Friday we will have our Valentine's Party.  My students were given the task of creating a Valentine's Box at home as a family project.  We had a great turnout with the 100's day projects, I know these will be spectacular. Here is the letter I send home for the project.  It might be too late for this year, but pin it and save it for next year.

It is a 3-day weekend for me and my daughter is home until Monday.  Proud and Happy Mamma here. We hung out last night while she told me all about her college classes, teachers, and roommates.  Hoping the weekend goes by super slowly.
