Litereacy Week

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!  Today was the end our of Literacy week and our Dr. Seuss week.  We read a ton of Dr. Seuss books, practiced rhyming, lots of Dr. Seuss centers and a school spirited week.  Last night was our Family Literacy night I had 1/3 o my class show up for the fun filled night of games and prizes.  Our PTA sponsored the event with books for the raffle,  and pencils and birthday cake for all.

  • Monday was crazy Sock Day-I posted about my socks on Monday
  • Tuesday was Crazy Hat day.  I love this homemade hat from one of my kinders. It is a spray painted paper bag.He wanted to make sure it had sight words.

Dr. Seuss Crazy Hat Day

  • Wednesday was Wear Green day- nothing too exciting.
  • Thursday was red, white and black day.  Super easy for me
  • Today was crazy hair day. Such a terrible picture taken at the end of my day- Please ignore my messy scraproom/craftroom/office.  It has seen a lot of abuse this past week.

Each day our school had a contest to see which class participated the mist then the winning class received the school flag.  We never won, but we had fun trying.

Now tell me what you did this week.  I can't wait to read about everyone's festivities.

Thanks Michelle and Tammy for following.

Mrs. Coe, glad I could make you laugh. My husband doesn't find it to funny as he has a 3x3 space at the end of my counter/desk He let me convert our guest room as long as I gave him a 3x3 space. Well lets just say he doesn't get an inch more.
