The back side has a sight word sentence that they illustrate and read to me and a few vocabulary words. We really focus on the illustrating as if they were an illustrator creating a setting for their sentence.
Rainbow Writing the Alphabet
A few days ago I shared my Peek-at-My Week. One Language Arts center that repeats each week is my Rainbow Writing Center. On the front side, the students rainbow write the letters then practice handwriting.
My kids love this center, it is one of their favorites. At the end of cneter time anyone who wants to can share their page with the class via the Elmo. They love seeing their drawings on the big screen.
