This was such a great way for me to assess which kids know their numbers and have 1-to-1 correspondance. First I had them put the numbers 1-10 in order. Next they had to count and match their dots to the correct number. Next week we will be working on counting groups and matching sets a lot. After doing this I realized I should have had my early group (those are my youngsters- still 4 or just turned 5) only do numbers 1-5. It was overwhelming for some even with having a number line in front of them.
